Ninjah
Musician, producer, artist, progressive fashionista, Cardiff legend. Ninjah can be defined in many ways, but if there’s one word that defines him it’s ‘unique’.
If you’re a Cardiff local you’re used to seeing Ninjah strolling down Queen’ Street making beats from metal signs or drumming against trash bins, flashing his original fashion sense to passers-by with glee. Every Diff native seems to have a story where they share a drink or hear the elusive figure say something that completly baffled them.
The first time I ever saw him he was urging Welsh people to “rise up” right in front of the Cardiff castle.
What many Cardiff natives probably don’t know is that this Lewisham-born artist spent his childhood between the Bronx and South East London, and that his father was a famous reggae trombonist that hung around with Bob Marley.
